Comprehension: An original Fortis comprehension poetry paper to analyse and annotate, identifying the author’s tools (poetic devices) and their effect. Question analysis skills, phrasing and structuring PETA answers. Meticulous in making a clear point, choosing appropriate evidence, naming the technique and analysing the effect. Writing skills: Using literary devices in descriptive writing, using our method to hit the mark scheme. Poetry writing - commonly dreaded, discover poetic devices and how to approach poems in this course.
