This Week Two 10+ English online course offers a structured, high-impact week of live teaching, designed to prepare students for the demands of competitive school entrance exams. This course is excellent to build on the momentum from Week One or as an independent week of teaching and learning given all material is bespoke. It focuses on building key skills in comprehension, writing, grammar, and vocabulary, all through original Fortis material not available anywhere else. Comprehension: An original Fortis comprehension paper to analyse and annotate, identifying the author’s tools (literary devices) and their effect. Question analysis skills, phrasing and structuring PETA answers. Meticulous in making a clear point, choosing appropriate evidence, naming the technique and analysing the effect. Writing skills: Using literary devices in descriptive writing, using our method to hit the examiner’s mark scheme.
