A comprehension: Analysing and annotating an original Fortis text, identifying the author’s tools (literary devices) and their effect. Question analysis skills, phrasing and structuring answers. Clarity and precision in making a clear point, choosing appropriate evidence, naming the technique and analysing the effect (PETA). Writing skills: Using literary devices in descriptive writing, using a method to hit the examiner’s mark scheme. Following the examinations, many students have received letters from senior schools commending their writing. Vocabulary and Grammar. All material is original and cannot be purchased.
